Announcements for Friday, November 15, 2024

Posted Date: 11/15/24 (1:13 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,

Today our district participated in the Paige’s Pajamarama to raise money for the Paige's Butterfly Run Organization, which supports local children and their families who are battling cancer. For a donation of $1, loose change or more, students and staff wore pajamas to school “in honor of kids who have to.”

Paige Yeomans Arnold was a first grader at Palmer Elementary School when she was diagnosed with leukemia. She passed away a year later in 1994. Palmer teachers organized the first walk/run event in 1997 to honor Paige’s memory. The event and organization has continued to grow and has raised more than $5 million since 1997. We are proud to be part of the history of this important organization and honored to continue to support its efforts to “fight pediatric cancer and find hope.” Donations to the Baldwinsville fundraiser can still be made online.

I have a few announcements to share with you today:
